Labor Day Weekend Forecast and Big Cool Down

The Labor Day weekend is fast approaching, and with many out celebrating the unofficial end of summer, here's a look at your forecast! It will very much feel like summer this weekend with the forecast not changing much from what we've seen this week. We hold on to very small and isolated storm chances through the weekend, with not many seeing the rain through Sunday. The bigger story will be the continued hot and humid conditions. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80's to around 90° through the Labor Day holiday.

Changes come to the forecast looking at Monday; an approaching cold front from the north west will fire up storms to the west of the Stateline late Sunday in Iowa. The storms will track to the east into northern Illinois by Monday. Temperatures on Monday will still be hot, near 87° but we will see steadily dropping temperatures Tuesday into Wednesday. By Wednesday we look to be back to seasonal with highs right around 80° and into the upper 70's.
