Average First 90 Degree Day

The first 90 degree temperatures of the season are expected to arrive this weekend.  But is it ahead of schedule?  Not really.

On average, we typically see our first 90 degree day in the beginning of June.  The earliest it's ever occurred was on April 10th, 1930.  The latest was September 1st, 2008.  Do you guys remember that summer?  We thought we would never reach 90 degrees.

Last year we reached 90 degrees on the 10th of June, right on when we expect it this year.  The year before, it was May 31st.  Saturday still looks to be the hottest day with mid-90's possible in a few spots.  The heat index will rise into the middle 90's, so take it easy this weekend.  It should be less humid and a little more comfortable Sunday.
