And we've had some decent thunderstorms roll through producing heavy rainfall, but not everyone has experienced that rain with the Rockford Airport being one of those locations. Officially for the month of June we've received just a little over half an inch of rain. Normally for this time of year we should have received over two inches of rain! Seems like a lot - and it is. For the entire month of June we should average over four inches of rainfall! That's pretty important during the growing season as ideally an inch of rain per week would be nice.
The incoming rain Monday night through Wednesday will help, but we need a good soaking rain. A rain that everyone will experience. Unfortunately with these incoming storms I don't see that happening. The biggest threat Monday night with any storms that do develop will be localized heavy rainfall. The same will occur Tuesday and Wednesday.
