Another winter-like day across the Stateline seeing highs in the low 30's with a few flurries passing through. We even some a brief period of light snow earlier this afternoon. We'll continue to see flurries for the rest of the night, but we could see some brief light snow during the evening.
We have chances for some brief periods of light snow for the next few hours, but once we get passed 8pm we can expect to just see flurries for the remainder of the night. Any light snow that forms during the overnight will stay north of our area.
By the time we get to the early hours of tomorrow morning we'll see the flurries clear out, but once we reach 9am that's when we'll start to see the clouds clear out.
This clearing will set up the beautiful day that we have ahead on Saturday, with sunshine and temperatures reaching around 43° during the afternoon. This being due to a low pressure system and high pressure system being put in positions that allow for a big channeling of warm air into our area.
Along with that, the warm front stays north of us during the day, which means the clouds and precipitation will stay north of us, and all we have to deal with is warmer temperatures.
However, do be mindful that this warm front will start to sink south by the time we get to Sunday, and this will give us rain chances during the day on Sunday, so be sure to take advantage of the nice weather on Saturday. That same front will also bring us slight rain chances on Monday.
Heading through the rest of the week we'll get more sunshine to go along with the 40° on Tuesday, with a wintry mix moving in Wednesday and Thursday, and chances for light snow next Friday. Minus the precipitation next week, we get to hang on to the warmer weather for the next several days.
