The overall jet stream pattern this week will remain fairly active with several disturbances working through the Great Lakes. The first will come through Monday, with the several more Wednesday and Thursday.
While there are several snow chances this week, it looks like most of the snow that does accumulate will be light and may only add up to a few inches when all said and done.
A deep trough of low pressure will continue to strengthen over Hudson Bay in Canada this week, forcing the jet stream to dip into the south. That's part of the reason why places like Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and northern Georgia saw several inches of snow over the weekend.
Within that dip in the jet stream, there will be many smaller low pressure systems that pass through. Each one will bring the chance for light snow, but with limited moisture associated with these systems, the snow accumulations will remain light. Unfortunately if you're looking for any major accumulating snowfall, you may have to wait a bit longer.
It looks like the pattern begins to break down towards the end of the upcoming week with temperatures possibly warming back into the low 40's by Saturday and Sunday.
