...through most of this week before Christmas.
We're still watching for a big pattern change that would bring more chilly air to the region, but ahead of that we have several mild days. The jet stream retreats to the north, trapping the cold air north too. This will allow for a string of 40's, lasting through much of next week.
With the jet nearby, there will be a few light chances for flurries or sprinkles, as little disturbances move overhead.
We're watching the Thursday to Friday time frame though for that big change in the upper pattern that would bring a dip drop in temperatures; falling below average in the couple days ahead of Christmas.
We will be gaining a little moisture Saturday into Sunday morning, that could allow for fog to develop through early Sunday. With relatively dry air in place though, it will be hard for rain to fall. For Sunday, expect mainly patchy drizzle, fog, and an isolated light shower or two. Areas of fog and drizzle also possible Sunday night into Monday.
