More 40's?!

We finally got the warm, beautiful weather we've been waiting for as highs hit 47° here in Rockford, and the mid 40's elsewhere.  This took us way above average, something we haven't seen too much of lately.  However, temperatures will be dropping quickly as we go through the evening, and since we have some moisture lingering over our area, this will lead to some dense fog during the overnight.

The fog is expected to form around 9pm and will stay with us through Sunday morning.  The fog will become more dense as we go through the overnight, so if you have plans to be out late be sure to take it slow because some areas will experience low visibility during the night.  The fog is expected to die down after 9am.

After the fog dies down we'll have some light rain move through the area around noon, dying down to drizzle around 3pm.  Highs will be in the upper 30's Sunday afternoon.  However, temperatures will drop below freezing Sunday evening, which will allow for flurries during the evening along with more fog.

As we head into the work week we'll see more warm air moving into our area, as highs will reach the low 40's during Monday afternoon with partly cloudy skies.  A cold front will move through early Tuesday morning, but will come through dry, helping to push clouds out and give us lots of sunshine to go along with the 40's.

By Wednesday we'll see more clouds move in as another warm front will approach us.  However, this one won't move through us, so our warm temperatures will gradually start cooling down on Wednesday.

Highs will be in the upper 30's on Thursday with a rain/snow mix, with Friday having highs in the upper 20's with light snow.  Afterwards, we'll keep the cold, cloudy conditions heading into the weekend.
