Temperature Roller Coaster

It was a gray end to the weekend, but at least we got to see temperatures above average again.  We nearly hit 40° this afternoon, with our average being at 33° this time of year.

We've got some rain moving through our southern counties, but it's weakening the farther north it goes as the warm front has died down.  However, can still expect some drizzle in our northern counties until after 9pm this evening.

As we go through the evening we'll continue to see light rain in our southern counties, with drizzle pushing through the northern counties.

Along with that, we've got more fog to deal with.  Visibilities have been dropping across the Stateline, and will continue to do so as we go through the night, so take it slow if you plan on going out tonight.

Even though this warm front is weakening it'll keep pulling moisture into our area as we go through the night, driving fog development and drizzle.  However, the winds will start to shift out of the southwest as we head into the morning, and this will a big benefit to us on Monday.

Once that happens it'll help to break up the fog and cloud cover.  The fog is expected to die down after 9am, with clouds clearing by the afternoon.  This will set up a beautiful Monday afternoon, with highs in the low 40's and plenty of sunshine to accompany it.

Enjoy the nice weather while you can, because this cold front will move through early Tuesday morning, cooling us down for the middle of the week, but keeping us warm Tuesday afternoon.

We'll be seeing our temperatures on a roller coaster going through the week, because after we dip back into the 30's Wednesday and Thursday, we have a chance for 50° on Friday.  Another low pressure system will move in and strengthen, allowing for it to pull mass amounts of warm air into our area.

However, the downside is that all that warmth and moisture will bring us showers during the afternoon, but I don't think that'll stop people from enjoying the spring-like weather.

However, just like on a roller coaster, when you go up, you have to come down, and that's exactly what our temperatures will do heading into next weekend.  We'll drop back into the 20's, with a chance of snow on Sunday.
