A fast moving clipper system early Monday will bring another round of light snow to parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes, with more lake effect snow setting up east of the Great Lakes.
Most of Sunday evening remains cool and dry. Clouds have been on the increase most of the evening, but we may see those thin out a little heading into the overnight. This will allow temperatures to fall back into low 20's Monday morning. A weak disturbance associated with a weak warm front will bring a chance for a few light flurries/snow showers early Monday morning for areas most likely near the state line, and in southern Wisconsin.
Low pressure will move through Minnesota and into northeast Iowa and northwest Illinois by mid-day Monday. Temperatures at the surface will warm into the low to mid 30's, but remain below freezing aloft. If any snow were to occur Monday morning, it wouldn't be much but could cause some slick spots on the roadways.
Once the low passes winds will increase from the Northwest, gusting as high as 30 mph. Additional light snow is possible on the backside of the low late afternoon and early evening, possibly impacting the evening commute.
Snow totals will remain on the lighter side, less than one inch for most. Totals over an inch are likely further north near the Dells and Madison, WI.
