Sunshine continues, Limited rainfall this week

Once again, sunshine filled our afternoon skies warming temperatures into the low 70s area wide Tuesday. High pressure stretching from Canada down through Missouri will remain in control throughout the next several days, warming temperatures through the end of the week.

For tonight, skies remain mostly clear with a light wind from the north. This will bring temperatures down into the low 40s - not quite as chilly as the last couple of nights. Wednesday and Thursday we'll see a gradual warming trend with highs rising back into the mid and upper 70s. By Friday morning a warm front will have passed, sitting north of the region, and warming temperatures into the low 80s for the afternoon! In fact, we could come close to a record high for the 11th of October. The current record is 88 set all the back in 1920.

Moisture remains rather limited across not only the Stateline, but much of the Midwest as dry conditions are expected to continue. A few spotty showers may occur as colder air settles into the region Sunday and Monday, but anything that does fall will not amount to much for us. Som accumulating rainfall will be possible across the Upper Midwest.
