12:30pm Udate: Rain in Iowa continues to move east but is falling apart as it does. So not expecting anything much other than a passing shower later this afternoon. Still some question as to what will happen later tonight. Most computer guidance generally agrees on a low pressure system moving from the central Plains just south of the Stateline by Tuesday morning. Heavy rainfall still remains a possibility with the low tracking just to the south and support in the upper levels of the atmosphere. Anyone who has delt with flooding the past couple of weeks should monitor the forecast later this afternoon and evening.
Clouds will continue to stream in from the west this morning ahead of a storm system currently moving through central Iowa. Watching the last couple hours of the radar and while the complex itself has been holding together fairly nicely, the leading edge has been falling apart some. So if this system continues to hold together as it crosses the Mississippi River, there could be a few showers in here before dinner time. However, we'll be watching out west once again this evening for another system that will develop in the Plains and move into the Great Lakes by Tuesday morning. This could potentially bring some heavy rainfall to parts of the Stateline. I will try to have an update for you by mid-morning so be sure to check back.
