High pressure provided the Stateline with a typical, warm, and somewhat humid weekend. The dry weather with scattered fair weather cumulus clouds was nearly ideal for the Rockford Airshow. The high pressure will shift slowly to the east overnight. There is still lots of low level moisture with relatively high dew points, so fog will probably develop once again, especially if favored low lying areas next to streams and creeks in rural areas of north central Illinois. The high will continue to move east tomorrow, but will maintain control of our weather throughout the day. It will be very warm under partly cloudy skies with temperatures topping out in the upper 80's. A thunderstorm complex is expected to develop early tomorrow night over eastern Nebraska, eastern South Dakota, and western Iowa. It will move easterward across Iowa into nothern Illinois and southern Wisconsin by late Monday night or early in the morning on Tuesday. There is potential for significant rainfall with this thunderstorm complex. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday look like they will be dry, and temperatures will continue to be above average for this time of year.
