The Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, OK is forecasting a slight risk of severe storms from the northern Rockies into the lower Great Lakes from Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. This includes the Stateline area. A warm front will move towards the area from the south tomorrow morning and probably stall-out just south of I-80. This warm front, along with some upper-level disturbances moving along it from west to east, will trigger numerous showers and storms Tuesday morning, and isolated storms in the afternoon. Although severe storms will not be a major threat in my personal opinion, heavy rainfall could be a problem. As of this writing, it appears that Lee, southern DeKalb, and possibly Ogle county face the highest risk of 1" or higher rainfall totals. --TS
