The heaviest of the rainfall fell overnight giving us anywhere between a half an inch to an inch of some much needed rain! Now that the majority of the rain has moved out the dense fog has moved in. A Dense Fog Advisory continues through noon for southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois as visibility has dropped to less than a mile in many locations. Other than a little drizzle and light rain sticking around through mid morning skies will become mostly cloudy by the afternoon with temperatures rising into the low 50s; except where the dense fog lasts a little longer. Temperatures in Freeport, Monroe, Stockton, Elizabeth, Shannon and Mt. Carroll may remain only in the upper 40s due to melting snow from a few weeks ago. I anticipate dense fog to develop once again tonight.Friday, January 11, 2013
Rain ending this morning but the fog will continue
