More Snow For The Stateline

After a week of frigid temperatures, the Stateline is gearing up for more snow heading into Friday night.

Precision Doppler just after 6:00pm shows our next round of snow to the south of the viewing area, but creeping north. Our southern counties could see snow showers as early as 7:00 or 8:00pm, with widespread snow showers by midnight.

Fortunately, the worst of the snow will stay to our south. Parts of central Illinois could see up to half a foot of snow by Saturday morning, with parts of Indiana expecting even more.

Locally, we are looking at 1-2" of snow through Saturday morning with lighter amounts to our west and slightly higher amounts to our east. In fact, lake effect snow could drop an extra 1-2" in parts of Walworth and McHenry counties through Saturday evening. -BA
