The light snow from overnight will begin to wind down mid-morning as skies become partly cloudy by this afternoon.  Snowfall totals, so far, have ranged from 0.5" in Kingston to about 2.5" in Grand Detour and Dixon.

Once the snow ends this morning, the focus will then shift to the tumbling temperatures by the afternoon.  We're currently in the teens, but by 3pm temperatures will fall to 6° with wind chills as cold as -15°.  Skies will remain clear through the overnight which will cause temperatures to drop down to -9° with wind chills near -20° by midnight.  Winds will shift around to the southwest after midnight which will cause temperatures to slowly rise by dawn Thursday.

With the expected drop in temperatures and wind chills a Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for the entire Stateline through Thursday morning.  As you plan out your day, dress accordingly!  Temperatures will fall fast by the time school ends and you head home from work.
