Snowy Weather Moves In Tonight

The Wednesday morning commute will likely be a messy one for most of the Stateline. Here's the latest on our next round of snow.

As of 3:20pm, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of northern Illinois. The advisory will run from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Don't be surprised if this advisory is expanded as we go through the evening. Snow is expected to move in after midnight and continue through the Wednesday morning commute. Most areas will see 1-3" of accumulation, but slightly higher amounts will be possible.

The timing of the snow will be our biggest concern. The other concern will be temperatures. Wednesday morning will only see temps in the low to mid teens, meaning salt trucks may not be as effective at keeping roadways clear. Be prepared for a few delays Wednesday morning. We'll keep you updated as we get more info. -BA
