The latest drought update is bringing a little bit of good news with it.
In Illinois, drought conditions improved slightly from last week, especially for our northwestern counties, but most of the Stateline is still considered abnormally dry. The Stateline portion of Wisconsin didn't see any change and is still considered abnormally dry.
Drought conditions should hopefully continue to improve over the next week as a few storm systems will bring some much needed rain. The first round of showers will come on Saturday with more rain expected starting Tuesday of next week. -BA
