Monday's mild air is a sign of a turnaround with our temps. After a cool, wet weekend with a trough of low pressure digging into the Midwest, the jet stream--which are fast winds in the upper levels of the atmosphere that divide air masses--will recede into Canada allowing air from the south to filter into the Stateline.
Temps are already over 20° warmer Monday than they were Sunday. Expect the heat to continue with temps steadily rising into the mid 70s midweek and even returning to the upper 70s late week. Enjoy! - MT
