Freezing temperatures possible Monday night

In anticipation of temperatures taking a tumble tonight the National Weather Service has issued Freeze Warnings, Frost Advisories and Freeze Watches across the Stateline.

A Freeze Warning will go into effect for Green, Rock and Walworth counties
A Freeze Watch will go into effect for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Lee and DeKalb counties
A Frost Advisory will go into effect for Stephenson, Jo Daviess, Carroll and Whiteside counties

The biggest question tonight is whether or not clouds clear out enough from this afternoon.  Even if skies become partly cloudy this evening temperatures will quickly tumble into the 20s before clouds move in ahead of a clipper system that will slide through central Illinois Tuesday afternoon.  If temperatures don't fall into the 20s tonight they will likely Tuesday night.  Be sure to bring in any plants tonight that you want to keep around a little longer.
