Make sure to grab the umbrella this morning as scattered showers will continue to move through until the early afternoon. Showers will subside and skies will remain mostly cloudy as drier air moves in late in the afternoon. A rumble of thunder could be possible to the east of Rockford accompanying the cold frontal passage.
