After Thursday's snowfall it looks like we'll see a little more coming up for Friday and then again Friday night into Saturday.
The cold front responsible for the snowfall this afternoon will sink south of I-80 Friday as high pressure moves into Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. As an upper level disturbance moves along the front Friday afternoon snow will be possible for areas mainly south of Rockford, but the potential will exist for a little light snow (under an inch) in Northern Illinois. By Friday night, another low will move in from the southwest along the cold front into Northeast Illinois Saturday morning and into Indiana by Saturday afternoon. Snow, moderate to heavy at
times, will be possible overnight Friday and into the morning hours of Saturday. It's possible totals may exceed four inches, but timing and track of the low will determine exactly how much will fall and who will see what. Doesn't look like we're quite done with the snow just yet.
