Thursday we saw some light snow in the area with high winds causing some road troubles, especially in rural areas. That's because winds are expected to gust up to 25mph.
Current roadway conditions:
In Illinois
In Wisconsin
A high pressure system pushes in from the northwest, keeping us dry Thursday night and into the morning Friday but a warm front stalled just south of the Stateline will bring us our next weather maker.

RPM Model forecast through Saturday |
Some light snow returns Friday, starting up around noon in southern counties and in the evening elsewhere. This system could pack quite a punch and because of that, most of the area is under a Winter Storm Watch Friday night through Saturday. This may be upgraded to a warning on Friday--we'll keep you posted on the blog if it does. We can see anywhere between 3-6" of snowfall on Saturday with heaviest amounts near the I-88 corridor.
