Morning chills and blowing snow will slow your Tuesday morning commute

The snowfall from Monday wasn't much, but enough to cause area roads to turn slick and when combined with a strong north wind, blowing and drifting snow will be an issue through early afternoon.

Wind chills this morning have dropped as low as -23 degrees in a few locations, but as high pressure moves into Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin this afternoon the winds will begin to ease.  East/West roads will be the most impacted through the morning commute.  Black ice will remain an issue for the next couple of days in areas where the snow hasn't been completely cleared.

We've got another chance for light snow tonight, mainly after midnight and continue into Wednesday morning.
