While temperatures may fall a little short of any records, the fact that we're even talking about possibly nearing record highs in December is pretty impressive. The warmest days out of the next seven appear to be Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (early in the morning).
Almost every day this week we have some sort of low pressure system coming through. Each one that passes brings the cloud cover and fog, but very little in the way of rain.
That changes late this week and weekend when a strong low develops out west and moves through the Midwest and Great Lakes Saturday and Sunday.
A pretty small, but strong area of low pressure will lift north into Wisconsin early Thursday. Southwest winds will increase ahead of the low giving temperatures a boost into the low to mid 50's before a weak cool front comes through. Right now I'm forecasting a high of 54 degrees Thursday. That's just 3 degrees below the record high of 57 degrees set all the way back in 1911!
The record high temperature for Saturday is 60 degrees, and by Saturday night temperatures could be coming pretty close to that. I think we'll be just shy of that number, but a mild night Saturday will lead to a mild early start Sunday. Sunday's record high is 57 degrees. We may be close to that shortly after Midnight. Temperatures will fall to the 40's during Sunday afternoon.
