Dense Fog Advisory Friday Night

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Lee and DeKalb counties beginning at 11pm Friday night and lasting through Noon Saturday.

Fog has been fairly persistent in east-central Illinois.  Low level moisture remains in the atmosphere and this will allow the fog to slide northwest into northern Illinois.

Visibility dropping below one mile will be possible through Saturday morning and with surface temperatures falling close to or below freezing - freezing fog will be possible.  Slick spots on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses could be possible.
