Afternoon Weather Update

We've pretty much been stuck under cloud cover for a good part of the morning but a few showers/storms have managed to pop up ahead of a cold front that stretches through central Iowa.  The Storm Prediction Center still has us under a slight risk for severe weather for this afternoon.  Skies are gradually beginning to clear out in eastern Iowa and may be the spot for redevelopment later this afternoon.  If storms do develop they will more than likely form into a line ahead of the front as they move east across northern Illinois later this afternoon/evening with gusty winds remaining the primary threat.
