Thursday afternoon may need some watching as a second and stronger cold front sweeps through the Great Lakes. Another area of low pressure will develop in the Plains today and lift to the north of us allowing the cold front to sweep through during the late afternoon/evening. Around the same time there will be a fairly strong jetstream overhead which may help to provide enough wind shear in the atmosphere to help sustain a few stronger storms. The Storm Prediction Center does have us on the northern edge of a slight risk for severe storms tomorrow afternoon. If we start the day off with more sun than clouds that allow the atmosphere to become a little more unstable.
Once that front passes Thursday night, winds will come howling in from the north Friday afternoon and drop our temperatures into the upper 60s and lower 70s! We'll continue with the cloud cover and maybe even a couple showers during the first half of the day until the low completely clears the other side of the Great Lakes. Expect temperatures to remain in the 70s straight through the weekend.
