For those of you that want summer to hold on a bit longer, you are in luck! Temperatures for our first full week of September will trend above our normal highs - feeling much more like mid-summer with highs on Tuesday and Wednesday that could approach 90 degrees. Strong flow from the southwest will begin again as high pressure pushes east and an approaching storm system will start to pull heat and humidity to the north.
Although a cold front will push through late Wednesday or early Thursday, our temperatures won't drop off too much because the air flow will be zonal, or west to east and will keep the warmth in our area at least through the following weekend.
We need to enjoy this as long as we can as our average high temperature in September starts at 80 degrees, but by the end of the month will drop to 70! Have a great Labor Day weekend!
