Flood Advisory for the Rock River

A Flood Advisory remains in effect for the Rock River near Byron due to ice jams.  River levels may fluctuate rapidly due to ice with very little warning over the next several days.


River stage is currently at 10.6 feet and is reported as being 'ice affected', putting the river at 'action stage'.  Flood stage is 13 feet.  The forecast calls for the river to rise near 10.7 feet by Tuesday morning.


Remain alert for quickly changing river levels is you live along the river this week.
