Locally Dense Fog will Make Travel Difficult Monday Night and Early Tuesday

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for most of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin through Tuesday morning.  Very dense fog brought visibility down to only a couple hundred feet Monday afternoon and evening.

There has been a little improvement with some of the rain showers and warm front lifting northward, but locally dense fog will continue for many into Tuesday morning.

A warm front currently lies just south of the Wisconsin state line Monday evening as winds in Monroe and Janesville are still from the east and northeast.  South of the front in Illinois winds have shifted around to the south, but there has been little improvement in the fog.

Please remain aware that dense fog will continue into Tuesday morning and will be impactful to the morning commute.  There could also be moderate rainfall occurring around sunrise Tuesday, with a few embedded thunderstorms.
