More Accumulating Snow on the Way

Temperatures now starting to get out of the negatives as we've got beautiful, sunny skies this morning.  Luckily the road conditions have improved as well, but there are still a few slick spots so do be mindful of that when out on the roads today.

We'll continue to see sunshine for the rest of the morning, before clouds start moving in mid-day.  We'll be partly cloudy by then, with more clouds moving in during the afternoon turning us mostly cloudy.

Once we get into the evening, a mid-level trough will approach our area, and bring us some flurries, before bringing us some light snow after 9pm tonight.  The snow will stay with us through the overnight and we're only expecting around 1.5 inches of snow, so not too much accumulation from this system.

By Wednesday morning, the light snow will weaken down to flurries, before clearing out by mid-day, bringing us lots of sunshine afterwards.  Temperatures will be a little bit warmer near 20° during Wednesday afternoon, but the sunshine will help out quite a bit.

Our next round of accumulating snow will be coming up on Thursday, when a low pressure system tracks in from the west, bringing a warm front near our area that'll initiate our next round of accumulating snow Thursday afternoon.  This system looks to be similar to the system that moved through on Monday.

Afterwards we'll see some light snow on Friday, before another round of accumulating snow moves in on Saturday.  Both Thursday and Saturday's systems will each bring around 3 inches of snow, with more possible on Saturday.  Get the shovels ready!
