Quick Burst of Snow to Kick off the Weekend

The snow won't be much this weekend but it will be a reminder that it's still winter.  A quick moving low pressure system will pass north of the Stateline Saturday, pulling a cold front through during the afternoon.

Snow showers will fall over the Plains and Upper Midwest, with some of those snow showers extending down into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois between Noon and 3pm.  Any significant accumulating snow will remain north of the state line, but a quick inch could fall over southern Wisconsin by late Saturday evening with lesser amounts likely further south.

Whatever snow does fall won't last long as temperatures on Sunday are expected to warm back into the upper 30's, close to 40 degrees.
