Spring-Like Weather on the Way

We had a pretty nice end to the work week as temperatures hit near 30° with lots of sunshine.  We keep the clear skies through the overnight, which unfortunately will cause our temperatures to cool down quite a bit.  We'll dip to the upper single digits during the overnight tonight.

We'll start to see some clouds build up early tomorrow morning, ahead of a cold front that'll bring some isolated light snow into our area.  However, these isolated areas of snow will only bring around half an inch of snow, so we're not looking at a big impact from this system.  The front will move in after 9am, clearing out by late afternoon, staying dry through the overnight Saturday night.

Once we get into Sunday we'll see a low pressure system move in from the west.  Luckily, the warm front will stay north, so all we'll have to deal with is warmer air, with plenty of sunshine too!  However, the cold front associated with this system will move in on Monday, and bring some heavy rain showers through the area.

Even though the low 50's will feel nice, there are some flooding concerns for the start of the work week.  The abnormally warm temperatures will melt the snow pretty quickly, and the heavy rain showers will add more to the accumulating liquid.  This will allow for the possibility of flooding in a few spots, so definitely be aware of this if you live near a river, or in a low-lying area.

Afterwards, temperatures will stay in the 40's for most of the week, only hitting the mid 30's on Wednesday.  Plenty of sunshine next week as well, with another chance for light snow coming up at the end of the week.
