More Snow To Come

It's starting to look like a Winter Wonderland outside as snow showers are moving in from the northwest.  This has caused our visibilities to drop, which will continue to do so as we head into the night.  A cold front will move in during the overnight, which is when our snowfall will be at its heaviest.  Until then, the snow will be progressively heavier.

The cold front is expected to move in around midnight, when heavy snow showers will be expected across the Stateline.  We maintain the snow showers throughout the overnight, and by the time we reach tomorrow morning most of us will have gotten around 2 inches of snow, with 2.5 inches possible up in southern Wisconsin as those areas are closer to the cold front.

By the time we reach 9am, we'll only see some flurries and isolated light snow due to a weak mid-level trough.  By 3pm, we'll be dry, and clouds will gradually decrease heading through the evening.

High pressure will move in Sunday evening to bring cold air back to our area and clear our skies at the same time.  Because of this, temperatures will be cooling down pretty quickly during the overnight, most areas hitting near 0° during the overnight.

However, by Monday, that high will track eastward and pull more moisture back into our area, allowing us to get another round of snow late in the day on Monday, so Snow Lovers can rejoice!

As we go through the rest of the work week, we'll get a break from the snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, while getting to enjoy some sunshine as well.  By Thursday, chances for snow arrive again early in the day, with more snow showers expected on Friday.  Afterwards, we'll have chances for more sunshine next weekend.
