A Cold Start to April with Warmth on the Way

This was the view we got coming home from work this evening....gross! Old Man Winter doesn't want to leave us yet, and we do have another chance for snow in our forecast.  However, there's also a chance for a warmup in the forecast as well, so we just have to get through this next snow chance.

Even though the low pressure system that brought us the snow will be out of the Stateline on Friday, sadly it'll still have an influence on us.  The low will increase our winds and our cloud cover, allowing for a cloudy and chilly end to our work week.  We'll be in the low 30's for Friday, but wind chills will be in the low 20's.  Overnight temperatures Friday night will be even colder in the upper teens.

The cold air will keep pouring into our area as we head into the weekend.  However, that cold air will start coming from this high pressure system once it moves in Saturday morning, and the good news is that this will bring us some sunshine to start the weekend! So at least we've got some sunshine amidst the cold.

Afterwards we'll have another low move in Sunday night, bringing us our next snow chance.  The good news is, the snow looks to stay light, and accumulations will be very small, much like today's snow.

Temperatures will stay on the colder side to start the work week, but a third low will move in mid-week, and this is what will bring back those warmer temperatures to our area!
