It looks like winter....and feels like it too.

Snow is moving out this morning, with just a few lingering snow flurries sticking around. Even though the snow didn't accumulate to much; northern Illinois picked up an inch or less, with areas in southern Wisconsin getting about 1-2", roads can and will still be slick in some areas. There have been numerous reports of accidents around Janesville near 90 and 39 this morning, and some viewers reported parking lots in downtown Rockford were like ice rinks!

Thankfully it will be a mainly dry day, with the exception of a burst or two of flurries later this afternoon. This won't accumulate to any thing though this afternoon. As cold air surges into the area, winds will be gusty and strong this morning and into the afternoon. This could lead to some blowing snow this morning. Winds have turned to the northwest, and are sustained between 10-20mph, and could gust up to 30mph. Stronger gusts will be noticed mostly this morning, and will gust closer to 20-25mph this afternoon.

High pressure arrives tonight, which will help winds to ease up this evening.
