Another Round of Snow

With just a little sunshine yesterday, the snow we woke up to melted away. But, we aren't done with the snow, we've got the threat for more snow accumulations this afternoon.

Low pressure over northern Missouri will lift over central Illinois this afternoon and it's warm front will lift with it. Ahead of the low, a strong wave will move in which will help to saturate the atmosphere. Narrow bands will develop over portions of northern Illinois. Within some of the bands the snow could be a bit more moderate, allowing for some minor accumulations. Most of the Stateline will receive under an inch, if you get any snow at all.

As the forecast stands now, accumulations around 1-2" are possible, but generally south and east of the Stateline. Models still are disagreeing, so make sure to check back for forecast updates.

The threat for precipitation arrives after the lunch hour, around 2pm and will linger for some through the dinner hour. While most of us won't need to get the shovels out, you'll want to watch for potentially slick roads where the snow does fall.
