Messy and Windy

This isn't exactly the view we wanted to have on our Mercyhealth Skycam.  We had the nice side of Spring on Thursday, but sadly when Springtime comes we have to deal with both sides, and we got the other one tonight.  We'll continue seeing rain throughout the night, and we'll also see some strong winds during the overnight as well.

We are under a Marginal Risk for severe weather in the Stateline, but thunderstorms won't play a huge role.  The main threats will be heavy rain and strong winds.  The heavier showers will start moving in after 7pm, but in the meantime will see some scattered, lighter showers.

After 7pm, we'll keep the heavier showers through the overnight, and winds will start picking up starting around midnight.

During the overnight, road conditions will be pretty poor, considering we'll have areas of heavy rain and strong winds to deal with.  Roads will be slick, and the areas of heavy rain will drop visibility.  The strong winds will just add to the problem, especially in open areas, so do take precaution if going out on the roads during the overnight.
The showers will start dying down after 7am, becoming more isolated for the rest of Saturday.  However, winds will continue to strengthen going through Saturday, with wind gusts peaking at 45mph during the afternoon.

Travel conditions will still be a concern at this point, especially if out in open areas and on the highways.  Larger vehicles need to take extra precaution, especially high-profile vehicles.  Do keep this in mind if going on the highway on Saturday.

A Wind Advisory will be in effect from Saturday 7am to 7pm, by which winds will be dying down, but still stay a little breezy.

Once we get into the Sunday, this low pressure system will finish up in our area by bringing us a wintry mix, along with some light snow Sunday evening.  Snowfall accumulation will be on the small side, an inch at most.  However, the wintry mix will continue to keep roads messy,

We'll dry up by Sunday night, maintaining cloud cover into the work week, with some sunshine expected on Tuesday.  Late Tuesday into Wednesday will be our next round of rain, with a wintry mix possible Wednesday night.

Temperatures will stay on the cooler side until Tuesday, by which will be back in the 50's for the rest of the week after.  Unfortunately, it may be a while before we hit 60° or 70°.
