Another Round of Snow and Then We're Warm

We did have some cold temperatures today, but it was nice seeing all this sunshine.  Our skies stay clear heading into the night, and this will allow for another beautiful sunset to be seen!  The clear skies cool us off quickly again, but luckily winds stay calm tonight, so wind chill won't be a factor during the overnight tonight.

We've got a high pressure system in place, which is why we're seeing the clear skies, and this high stays with us for the overnight tonight, which will also keep our winds calm so that we don't have to deal with single digit wind chills like we did Friday night.

Once we get into Sunday morning, our cloud cover will gradually build up heading towards mid-day, as a low pressure system will be on the approach.  Despite the cloud cover, we'll still manage to get out of the upper teens pretty quickly, hitting the low 30's by around 10am.

The low will continue to build up our cloud cover heading into the afternoon, and will also bring us chances for isolated snow after 1pm. The system will be fairly weak, so we can expect only light snowfall around this time.

The system will bring a mid-level trough into our area heading into the evening, which will cause the snow to become more scattered during the late-evening hours, starting at 7pm at the earliest.  Afterwards, we keep the snow heading into the overnight as that low moves in, with a few periods of heavier snowfall possible after 1am.

Even though winter doesn't want to leave us quite yet, accumulations are going to stay small for this system, around 1.5 inches.

There will be a little more snow on Monday, but accumulations will stay very small.

Afterwards, temperatures will be warming up as we head through the week, getting back to spring-like weather by Wednesday in the upper 50's, possibly hitting the low 60's by the end of the week.
