With the cold front passing early Friday, we say goodbye to the rain chances over the next week. That's not good news for drought concerns. Over 40% of the state is in a moderate drought--up from last week.
However, over the last week, we've gotten a healthy amount of rainfall. In fact, most of September's precipitation has been within the last 7 days. But the deficit will continue to grow as we have minimal rain chances in the near term forecast.
As for Friday, we saw plenty of high winds on the back end of the passing cold front. Gusts peaked all around the Stateline from 15-25 mph. Saturday, the winds will die a little bit with gusts anywhere from 10-20 mph.- MT
