Thunderstorms have moved into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, some producing very strong winds and heavy rainfall. There are not active warnings, but some storms have developed into more of a linear structure (line of storms) and are capable of producing strong winds near the surface. One storm in particular is currently moving through McHenry County, north of Marengo.
While the wind threat does still exist, heavy rainfall will become a concern, especially for areas along Highway 20 where the thunderstorms are beginning to back build. Thunderstorms will last through Midnight, before shifting southeast with the passage of a cold front. There will still be a few lingering showers around for the start of Tuesday, but a drier afternoon and evening is expected.
