A wet Wednesday is in store today with showers and thunderstorms, as a cold front is moving through the Stateline area. Flood Warnings are still in effect for the Rock and Pec. rivers, so be sure to monitor flood prone locations.
Behind the cold front, expect windy conditions and a cool down. In front of the cold front, temperatures are in the 70s and 80s. Behind the cold front, temperatures are in the 40s and 50s.
So sing it with me "so long, farewell..."
Goodbye to the 80s...
And hello to the 40s and 50s!
As we will be "stuck in colder weather" for the rest of the 7 day forecast.
Last night was the drawing for the 6th largest Mega Millions jackpot ($470 million). I only won $2, so let's see if we can win some sunshine on scratch-a-4cast.
We have to match three sunny days in a row, and the next three days we will see some sunshine. It will be a well needed dry stretch.
Hurricane Michael has officially made landfall just NW of Mexico Beach as a strong Cat. 4 storm. This makes it the strongest hurricane to make landfall along the Panhandle of Florida in recorded history.
Not only will heavy rain and damaging winds be a major concern, but the biggest concern along the coast will be the storm surge. Projections are for 6" + of storm surge.
The cold front moving through our neck of the woods will also help to push Hurricane Michael back out into the Atlantic Ocean very quickly.
