The rain showers have come to an end Wednesday evening, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures Wednesday warmed into the low 70's but are now quickly dropping into the 50's near the Mississippi River.
West winds will increase, gusting to 35mph, behind the cold front that is now passing through southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Temperatures will continue their fall through the 60's and 50's before falling to 40 degrees by Thursday morning. But as the winds continue into Thursday, wind chills by morning (yes, wind chills) will make it feel more like the low 30's! Highs on Friday will only warm to 50 degrees, despite a little more sunshine during the afternoon.
