Light snow flurries will be possible late in the day Thursday and early Friday as low pressure moves in from the west. Skies will turn mostly cloudy during the afternoon with temperatures warming into the mid 20s. As the low moves close to Iowa and Illinois, light snow will develop from Iowa, stretching southeast towards west-central and central Illinois during the afternoon and evening.
High pressure to the north will keep a lot of the accumulating snow from reaching northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, but a few flurries or brief light snow shower will be possible late Thursday evening and night. As the low moves overhead Thursday night, a few of those flurries may linger into early Friday morning.
