Afternoon Update

Skies continue to clear this afternoon as the instability begins to rise across the Great Lakes.  Boundaries that have been leftover from the rainfall this morning will likely be the trigger to get storms going late this afternoon and into the evening.  Storms are already beginning to form across south-central Iowa and will continue to drift northeast.  We'll watch as these storms progress with the main threat being damaging winds.  Chief Meteorologist Ty Shesky will continue to keep you updated through the afternoon.
