Rain Moving East...but Slowly
We've got a few holes in the cloud cover this morning and still a fairly dry atmosphere in place across the Great Lakes with dew points in the upper 50s. Heavy rain has fallen over portions of northern Iowa earlier this morning but as this system moves east the dry air will continue to evaporate the rain before falling. The southern edge of the showers will continue to move to the southeast along the warm front and should not have an impact on us. Rain is beginning to fall around Dubuque and can be expected in the Rockford area early this afternoon(assuming the showers hold together).
