Could Northern Lights Be Visible Thursday?

Last week, the Northern Lights made a rare appearance in the Midwest. If you missed it, here's some amazing time lapse video of the phenomenon in Iowa.

While it may not be as spectacular this time around, we'll have another shot at seeing the Northern Lights Thursday night. The best viewing will be in southern Canada, but areas as far south as Wisconsin could still see the light show.

Here are some tips if you attempt to view the Northern Lights:

1. Get away from city lights. The darker it is, the easier it will be to see the Northern Lights.

2. Look low on the horizon. Since we'll be on the far, far southern edge of the prime viewing area, you'll have to look lower to catch a glimpse of the lights. -BA
