Why the Cool & Active Weather Pattern?

The jet stream, which is comprised of fast winds in the upper levels of the atmosphere, divide air masses. To the south is milder air while to the north is cooler air.  The jet stream is dipping south of the Stateline meaning cool air is filtering in from Canada.  As it digs, it forms a trough of low pressure where unstable air exists.  What does this mean for you? Unseasonably cool air and an active weather pattern is in store for the next week or so.

That being said, there's a slight threat of rain pretty much every day starting Friday night and lingering through the forecast period.  Here's the 7-day. - MT
