Thursday morning weather update

10:10am Update: Heaviest of the rainfall moving north of Highway 20.  Scattered storms continue to develop further west towards the mighty Mississippi River.

A Dense Fog Advisory will continue through 10am for Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb and McHenry counties.  Visibility has dropped to less than a mile in many locations but will gradually improve as a warm front lifts into Wisconsin.

Additional non-severe storms will also lift north out of western Illinois through 11am with heavy rainfall being the greatest threat.  The movement of these showers/storms has been very slow so expect heavier downpours with any rain that does move in.  Thunderstorms will remain possible through the afternoon but severe weather is not anticipated.  Look for an update on our weekend system on blog later this morning.
